More goodness from Mattel, this time full-on images of the 14th wave of DC Universe Classics. This wave is a Wal Mart exclusive and set to hit stores later in the year. It includes Alan Scott, Gold, Hourman, Kamandi, Obsidian, Tyr, Zatanna and the Collect & Connect Ultra-Humanite. (Note: Zatanna is not a variant – she just has a removable hat.)

DC Direct’s Cover Girls of the Universe line of statues continues on strong with its fifth piece, Power Girl. I have to admit, this is the first statue from this series that hasn’t completely wowed me straight out of the box…but for some reason I can’t place *exactly* what’s bothering me about it. I dig the cape; I dig the huge cleavage window; I dig the pose…but I can’t help but keep going back to the face and asking myself what I don’t like about it.

A new goody arrived at my door yesterday afternoon, the Hippolyta as Wonder Woman minibust from DC Direct. This is the first bust in the third series of WotDCU busts, the third series being based on the designs of artist Amanda Conner. So I figured what the hey…if I’m going to upload pics of Hippolyta, why not do the rest of the crew as well? Racing against Lara, Amanda wears a deep V-neck top and low-rise pants with lace-up detailing. She arrives wearing custom printed tattoo decals, faux leather necklace, and lace-up faux leather boots. The figure is limited to 500 pieces and will set you back $149.99.
